Beit Gordon – Museum/ House of Nature, Agriculture and History of Kinerot Valley/Kibbutz Degania Aleph
Ideal for pleasant, enriching visit; extensive display of Israel’s nature, enthralling exhibits of animal, plant and inanimate life.
Marginal but amusing exhibit “nature’s quirks”: a two-headed sheep, a four-legged chick etc… Various films are screened in the auditorium. Also an important archeological exhibition, which has artefacts from Ubeidiyah, site where one million-year-old traces of pre-historic man were found.
The house named after A.D. Gordon, the ideologist of Labor Settlement (died Degania 1922) – his personal papers and possessions also displayed here.
